Since 2020, TAF has had its own pitching event! Every year, we issue an open call to artists who work in or come from the Balkans and wish to compete for cash prizes and other awards that will help them complete their projects!
7th Balkan Animation Forum (BAF)
Supported by EKKOMED, the Balkan Animation Forum (BAF) returns for its 7th edition! Since launching its pitching event in 2020, BAF has become a key platform where creators connect with industry professionals, gain international visibility, and compete for valuable awards:
As always, the first-prize project will receive a €1000 cash award, while the second-prize project will receive €500.
In addition, our long-time partner Toon Boom will once again support the Forum by offering the top three winning projects a one-year subscription to Storyboard Pro 24 or Harmony, two of the animation industry’s leading professional software packages.
This year, the Greek entries in the series category will compete separately for prestigious awards achieved by Funny Tales’ and TAF’s strategic partnership with the legendary Cartoon Forum. The jury will include representatives from Cartoon as well as distinguished professionals from the global animation industry.
Who Can Apply? Animation creators, producers, and artists working in or originating from the Balkan region, with projects currently in development.
