Storyteller, Director, Scriptwritter, Editor
Dimitris Savvaidis born in Thessaloniki in 1976. Having realized that he was born to make stories, he subsequently discovered that comics and animation as an appropriate means to tell stories. He has participated in dozens of Comic, Animation, and Visual Arts Festivals in Greece and abroad. He has released twelve comics to date, has been awarded two times, and has received four more awards at the COMIC DOM. His short comic stories have been published in many Greek magazines and newspapers (BAVEL, PARADE, 9, GALLER, THE NEWS, etc.). He had a column of 4-page children's comic in the SPORT DAY KIDS 2009 – 2010, a children's sports newspaper with a total area of 160 pages. He has created five short animation films that have participated in domestic and international festivals. Finally, he is the founder of AddArt, a transmitter of culture and art.
Animator, Director, Storyboarder, Comic Creator
Giannis Texis has been working in the field of visual arts since 1999. He has illustrated children's fairytale books and has written and designed comic book series and books.
He has extensive experience as a storyboard artist in TV and cinema.
He makes animation for advertising and cinema, and has also collaborated with children's theatrical performances by creating animation and puppetry for a child's parody.
He has participated in Greek and international events and exhibitions. He has made animation for music video clips, educational DVDs and computer games.
He has taught children and adults the techniques of animation and comic secrets.
Production Manager, Project Manager
Stavros was born in 1979 in Thessaloniki. He founded AddArt with his brother Dimitris Savvaidis and Giannis Texis. AddArt is a non profit organization whose main aspect is to “add art” and culture. The team consists of Artists, Illustrators, Directors, Comic Creators, Animators and more.
He is also the production manager of Thessaloniki Animation Festival since 2015. Additionally he organizes screenings, exhibitions, workshops and events, all focusing on bringing every aspect of the art of animation as well as comics in Thessaloniki.
He is a big fan of animation, comics and he never misses a Comic Con.
Program director, Content curator
Angeliki was born in Athens in March 1992 with an inherent love for cartoons and arts. She participated in the educational experiential lessons held in Monodendri, Ioannina, from 13 to 23 July 2014, within the framework of the 8th ANIMART – Experimental School of Arts of the European Movement Center Plan.
She worked as an intern in 10th Athens Animfest 2015 and has participated in the festival organization of Athens Digital Art festival Digital Pop.
She is the Program director at TAF festival since its first edition in 2015. She also creates her own art and took part in the Art Exhibition entitled “We will be Friends, there are many reasons not to accept it”, which took place in the artistic and creative workshops of the Open Umbrella in Athens. She also exhibited her work in Fall Festival 2016 and 2017.
Production Assistant, Curator
Donatela was born in 1992 and studied Fine Arts in Greece and during her Erasmus in Estonia too. She worked as a curatorial intern and then as a production assistant at the Athens Digital Arts Festival in 2015 & 2017 and as an animation & VR curator in 2018. In 2017 she joined the Thessaloniki Animation Festival team where she currently works as an animation curator and a production assistant. She adores Miyazaki films and she's interested in game development, interactive art and she secretly creates animated short films.
Claire Kostoglou was born in 1992 and studied graphic design.
In July 2012 she created the set for an opera from director Dirk Schattner.
In September 2012 she became a member of Dpsd Beyond where she remained until 2015. She promoted the short animation film called ‘To Vaporaki’ in June 2014. From October 2015 to March 2016 worked as an intern at the headquarters of Adidas, supporting miAdidas 3d artists team. She also created Motion graphics short films, promoting ‘Spoudase’ in February 2017. She created Character Design and animation for a game developer for ‘Life Debag’ in April 2017. She made the logo for Vasilis Vouka personal trainer October 2017. Currently she is a graphic designer for Thessaloniki Animation Festival 2018.
Nopi Ranti lives and works in Thessaloniki. She is a director, actress and photographer, and she teaches directing, acting, framing, etc. in IEK and drama schools. She has won many international awards and distinctions for her work, she has participated in biennale and international festivals with either Performances or exhibitions.
Dimitris Kazantzis was born in 1990 and studied management in Greece. Some years later he realized that he could combine his degree with his passion for comics, cartoons and illustrations so he started a second degree in Graphic Design. During this period he met some very interesting people and joined their team in AddArt and the Thessaloniki Animation Festival. He was also a workshop instructor assistant in some board games they developed and various other projects.
His other passions are music, cinema and Sitcoms!
He is from Athens and studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Over the last two years he has been working in the field of entertainment and the design of interactive games for all ages, and that was where he met with AddArt and Dimitris Savvaidis and decided to join their team.
